Sharemasterindia.com: Idea Cellular shares gained over 3 per cent to an intraday high of Rs
179.35 on Friday. According to Press Trust of India, the company has
reportedly increased data tariffs in the Delhi circle by up to 18 per
cent for pre-paid customers with effect from June 3.
Idea Cellular has also increased 3G data tariffs for pre-paid customers by 18 per cent and 2G tariffs by 11 per cent, the report added. In some of the data packs, the validity has also been reduced, according to the report.
Idea Cellular is likely to hike data tariff plans in 5-6 more circles in coming days, the report added.
As of 12.53 p.m., shares in Idea Cellular traded 2.70 per cent higher at Rs 178.90 apiece, outperforming the broader Nifty, which was up 0.37 per cent.
